Pema Choekyi

Law Clerk

Pema Choekyi is a Law Clerk at Flicker Kerin, LLP and brings a deep commitment to guiding clients through complex legal matters and difficult transitions with empathy and sensitivity.

Prior to joining the firm, Pema built a strong foundation in client advocacy through private practice and clinical legal work. She previously interned at a plaintiff-side tenant rights firm, where she assisted with housing-related matters, and represented clients through UC Law San Francisco’s Community Justice Clinics, successfully handling wage-and-hour disputes and unemployment insurance appeals.

Pema is a rising third-year law student at UC Law San Francisco. Beyond her coursework, she serves as the Senior Online Editor for the UC Law Journal and is actively involved in community leadership. She is a Student Coordinator for the Legal Advice and Referral Clinic, connecting members of the Tenderloin community with critical legal resources, and serves as a Board Member for the Law Empowerment and Access Project, which introduces youth to the legal system and pathways to legal careers.

Pema graduated from the University of California, Irvine, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations and Pre-Law, and a minor in History. Outside of her legal work and studies, she enjoys visiting museums, exploring local cafés, and traveling.
