The certification process is rigorous, requiring attorneys to demonstrate substantial experience and a deep understanding of complex family law matters.
The Board of Legal Specialization sets demanding standards for certification. In order to be fully certified, an attorney must:
- Pass the comprehensive written examination in Family Law
- Demonstrate substantial involvement in Family Law matters
- Complete extensive continuing legal education in the field
- Earn favorable evaluations from judges and peers familiar with her work
By passing the certification exam, Ms. Benage has taken a substantial step toward achieving full Certified Family Law Specialist status, and demonstrated her dedication to providing thoughtful, strategic, and effective counsel to clients navigating complex family law issues.
